Maintenance Tips
-
Maintain Lock Reliability: For mechanical or electronic locks, perform routine checks and replace batteries (if electronic) to ensure consistent access and security.
-
Inspect Boltwork & Handle: Periodically test the 3-way bolt system and tri-spoke handle to ensure smooth locking and full engagement on all sides.
-
Protect Fire Seal Integrity: Check the intumescent door seal regularlyâthis expands during heat to block smoke and fire, so keep it clean and undamaged.
-
Control Interior Humidity: Use silica gel or dehumidifiers to protect valuables, especially since the safe is fire-lined and tightly sealed.
-
Clean & Organize Interior: Wipe shelves and interior lining to prevent dust buildup and maintain efficient storage of documents and valuables.
-
Check Anchoring Bolts: Ensure the pre-drilled mounting bolts remain tight to prevent movement and enhance burglary resistance.
-
Inspect Steel Body & Door: Monitor the 11-gauge steel body and 1/4" steel door for wear, corrosion, or misalignment to maintain RSC-level protection.
-
Avoid Overloading Shelves: Distribute weight evenly across adjustable shelves to prevent strain and maintain structural integrity.
-
Test After Fire/Impact Events: After exposure to heat or impact, inspect fire protection materials and locking mechanisms for continued reliability.
